Day 3  — 1 hour ago

i’m still trying to adjust to everything i have to do with this cleanse…mostly scheduling. day 1 & 2 were pretty good.

the morning of day 2 i woke up at 6:30 and had a bm. after that i drank my swf…i hate that stuff! and i made myself stay standing and moving until it kicked in. it finally did at about 7:45. i had a few bm’s. YAY!! soooo glad that worked. i didn’t bring my lemonade to work with me, so i only had water all day. wasn’t all that hungry – thank goodness. when i got home i made about 24oz of lemonade and drank it fairly quickly…it was SO damn good :) after that i went to dinner and a movie with a friend. that was tough. i wanted so badly to grab her tomato soup and chug it down. thankfully i just sipped my water..whew! i didn’t get home till after midnight and didn’t want to drink the tea that late, so i skipped it. i also didn’t do my swf this morning :| i’m trying not to worry too much about not doing everything i should have these first few days. i plan on doing 30 days of this. i feel really good about this and although i’m only on day 3…it’s definitely more motivating to keep going than it was on day 1.

today is going well so far. i have a slight headache, but nothing else…

So Happy :-D  — 3 hours ago

Worth doing!

Today is day 5 of my decidedly 21 day cleanse and I feel AWESOME!. I had great eliminations this morning, the swf seemed so easy and not disgusting at all, I just did an intense spinning class and when I got home I drank a glass of lemonade and I feel so refreshed! I am truly reveling in the positive energy surrounding me right now! I hope all you other cleansers out there are experiencing these same beautiful feelings…

7 day run done! - 40 day cleanse canceled  — 4 hours ago

Worth doing!

Well I ‘m done with the cleanse. I was doing good but my family was worried about me and I was losing weight to fast for me to build muscle to replace the lost weight. I plan to cleanse again when I’m in shape and go for the 40 days once more. I feel great today I got a good nights rest and permanently lost 10 lbs after eating. I haven’t ate any meat yet, I’m eating sensible so I continue losing weight. Thanks to everybody for the support I really appreciate it. If anyone needs any support or help with the cleanse, let me know. Thanks and take care.

Day 10 of at least 20  — 6 hours ago

Worth doing!

I haven’t written anything for a while, as there actually hasn’t been that much to write. This cleanse is a lot easier than I thought it was going to be (so far?). It’s Day 10 already! I am definitely continuing for at least another 10 days. Day 4 was the hardest, as I had a bit of a headache earlier in the day and was hungry. I was debating ending the cleanse on that day, as I just wanted to taste something. But that wasn’t a good reason, and I do have willpower. :)

I would go for 30 days, but there are two things standing in the way of that: there is a wedding on Day 32 for which I would like to be able to eat, and I think the weight loss would be too much by that point. I started at 125 lbs, and am now down to 118 and noticeably smaller (to myself, not to others).

I have still been wanting to eat just for the sake of taste. Again, I do not think this is a good reason to eat, and want to continue until I can rewire my thinking somewhat in this regard.

I’m starting to think of how I will adjust my eating habits post-cleanse. Today is Day 26 of not eating junk food, and I want to see how long I can maintain this, with my minimum goal being forty days. I was a near-vegan before starting this cleanse and most days would eat a vegan diet. I’m considering making this tendency more strict and going vegan for six out of seven days a week, and limiting my animal product intake on lacto-ovo day. I’m currently trying to find good vegan cookbooks to supplement this. It’s difficult, as a good cookbook to me would have recipes that are not too complex or time-consuming with ingredients that are easy to find. I live in Newfoundland, and health food and specialty stores are few and far between. It would also have to be a healthy cookbook with emphasis on whole grains vs refined grains, spices vs salt, and healthy fat vs saturated/trans fat.

I see this cleanse as a great way to “start over” with a healthier body and mind. I also would like to maintain the weight loss when I finish, and today am starting to incorporate running into my cleansing regimen. I definitely realize the importance of weight-training as well, but I don’t really like it. It will take more effort to add that to my lifestyle. I do take part in Taekwon-Do, and think this will help with maintaining a healthy body.

All Done! Day 11.. :)  — 10 hours ago

Worth doing!

Official weight loss on the cleanse is 8.5lbs. Not bad, i think.. from my last cleanse, i kept losing afterwards, coz i ate healthy and kept active. but i think if i can maintain my current 118lbs, that will be great. :)

Now, when the book says fresh OJ, does it mean freshly squeezed? (or just not from a frozen concentrate?) coz that’s the impression i got. my arm was burning from squeezing all that oranges yesterday. if i go through my OJ supply before the day ends, i’m going to the store to get some Simply Orange. hehehe..

i’m so excited to explore healthy cooking. i saw rachel ray cook a Sicilian eggplant stew the other day, looked sooo delicious, i plan to cook it on the night of Day 14. yum! thank God my cravings for unhealthy food is gone!

everyone’s been great here. keep up all the great dedication! your face will glow and you will feel great and healthier!

Day 7 of 40 Day Cleanse - Restock up on supplies!  — 1 day ago

Worth doing!

I’m on day 7 with no grade b maple syrup. I feel good though. I’m thinking If I can go 7 days without solid foods, I can go a few hours without the lemonade. What I’ve learned in these past 7 days is that the way to last this long without suffering one moment is to experience all of your other senses like the feel of how good it feels to be cleansing, to see the clarity of your vision, to hear how live and animated the world and nature is, and to smell the fresh air. I’ve even got accustomed to tasting the lemonade. I’ll probably still be drinking some when I start eating again. The most important thing of all is to let go of your feelings, cravings and emotions. Not resist, repress or suppress them, but naturally forget about them and let them go. I’m free to go for as long as I want and I got the power to deciding that. Almost 1 week under my belt and I wish every one the best. Oh and like the post below, I had a dream yesterday that I ate cinnamon rolls and doughnuts and I still remember the feeling of how horrible I felt after I ate them. It’s motivating me to stay on longer. And like always, keep cheering and I’ll keep cleansing. Thanks and take care.

Day 4  — 1 day ago

Worth doing!

Its the morning of day 4 and I’m feeling good, but a bit languid. Nothing much to report over the past couple days. Yesterday I noticed that the skin on my hands is softer than it normally it. My tongue has the white coating on it and my mouth tastes bad. Last night I went to bed with a headache, and woke up with it too. But as soon as I drank the swf and let that run its course, my headache went away. I also had my first cleansing dream last night. I drank 2 apple juice boxes without thinking I was doing anything wrong! To think I would cheat by drinking apple juice! Crazy. It might have been because I was looking at liver cleanses and they say you’re supposed to drink lots of apple juice. Normally I don’t drink apple juice except on flights. Anyway, this has definitely been the easiest cleanse so far (knock on wood), and right now I’m just enjoying going through the motions and reaping the benefits. Also, does anyone recommend chugging the swf or sipping on it continuously? Just thought I’d get some other opinions.

Is a week enough?  — 1 day ago

My brother has done the MC 3 times and is preparing for his 4th. I’m considering doing it as well this time and have been doing some reading. Can anyone suggest how much time I should give myself before starting the cleanse? I’m thinking about starting as early as this Sunday for a 10 day fast. I’m nervous, and I know I won’t feel great all the time, but I think it will be worth it.

DAY 1  — 2 days ago

i drank my tea last night & set my alarm for 4am to drink my swf…silly me. did i really think i’d wake up at 4am to drink that stuff?? i didn’t wake up until 7:45. dammit. so, no swf this morning and no bm’s so far. i made my lemonade way too spicy. my lips and stomach are a bit upset. i really want to get to the gym by 6am. how am i going to do this? if i woke up at 4:30 and did my swf and some other things i want to do in the morning, i think i could make it to the gym by then. that would actually help me align some of my nightly goals as well. going to bed early would be really good for me. this is great :) so many changes ahead of me.

Day 6 of 40 day Cleanse - Hitting the weights  — 2 days ago

Worth doing!

Like the post below me I was wondering if 40 days was safe for my weight level. I’ve lost 12 pounds in 6 days. that’s 2 pounds a day. So at this rate I thought I would lose 80 pounds by day 40. That’s double of what I have to lose and way too skinny. But after reading the comments replying to the post below, I see that the first 5 pounds is fecale matter, and I’m thinking 5 more pounds is water gain. So I’ve only lost 2 pounds of fat. For me not to lose muscle mass in the long run, I’m hitting the weights, running, boxing and doing Tai Chi. I’m pretty sure I’ll be fine then. All in all I feel great mental attitude wise and health wise. Much success to everybody. Thanks and take care.
