become pregnant

Because my last entry was September 2nd and my test came out negative. I started my new job….thought all the stress had me out of whack. I took a pregnancy test on Friday the 11th and SURPRISE! We are having a baby!! Due date is May 14th…a spring baby! Ironic how that is our favorite time of year.

I am surprised at my positive outlook on this, though it could be just plain denial. I keep approaching each month with “this is going to work!” Maybe with starting my new job I will have a lot less stress. I also think things will happen when the time is right and it would not have been a good situation had I gotten pregnant while working at my current job. Here’s to another month of trying!! I’m hoping we will have good news for everyone by Christmas!

We are still keeping our fingers crossed. May was our first serious attempt. We are still positive, keeping our fingers crossed and looking forward to this month! We both really want to be parents! Here’s hoping we can do it!!!

OK…we are serious now about doing this. We decided October 2008 we wanted to start TTC and gave it a halfhearted attempt. I was not tracking my cycles or using any ovulation predictor tests. We both live a busy lifestyle and set no time aside for each other. I work for an public accountant so from January through mid April I worked 15 hour days. Now we are setting time aside for ourselves, I have the ovulation tests ready to go just as an ‘aide’. I’ve began testing today and have my fingers crossed that buy July everything will come out positive! Even if it doesn’t at least I will know we are actually trying and not just saying we are.

I am TTC and having a very hard time with it.

I used to not have any problem getting pregnant. .
It was basically . .
You look at me and i got pregnant . .
And you know what they say. .
when your not ready. . you get them . .
when your ready . . you cant . .

so here we are trying to have a baby. .
and no success.

Sex does get boring when its a chore.

After 1 1/2 years of trying, finally pregnant!

I thought I would get pregnant the first time we had unprotected sex during ovulation…I guess not. But they say the egg is only fertilizable for 24 hours/cycle, and since I ovulate for considerably longer than that, we might have missed the window…

In order not to miss the window, we’re having sex every other day (which maximizes sperm quality, so they say), ovulating or not. Although that’s only every 48 hours, so it’s still possible to miss the window…and my husband got the flu so now we’re missing several days :(

If I don’t achieve it this month, I’m going do it every day next cycle! Sperm quality or not!
