Well, i surfed twice in the same week last week. First time I have done that in a while! Unfortunately I am sick now.. I think it was from the freezing cold water.. Oh well..

3-5 ft, Fair conditions! OH man I am stoked! except it’s sunday :( :(.. you know what that means… CROWDED! oh well, I can manage. Its a privledge just to be out there. Cant complain
weak, I had to move inland.. so now I am about 2 hours away from the beach. I still surf once a week, but it is not helping me get better like I was when I surfed 2x a day and lived 5 mintues from the beach. Atleast where Im at now we get better surf. Quality > quantity..??? not really. I’m out of practice but I still love it. I cant wait to move back to the coast! althought its going to be a minute.
igenevieve is surfing 4 earth day
12 sun salutations every morning
go to night classes at central
personal classes at beach front
after a lot of time being far from water I want to restart my surfing and get better and better.
i leave tomorrow for my surf trip up the coast. i just got my new board and am ridiculously psyched. i just want to leash up and run around my house with it. it’s a 7’ foam hybrid thruster and it’s YELLOW. major yellow. i’ve named it “fat bird”.
here’s to surfing better…
i just started learning last summer and i want to be more committed to it. i love it and after watching the pier classic an california i was inspired. that and the fact that there wasnt a single girl surfer in all of huntington beach!
Went to the beach last weekend, and did okay in the 2-3 foot waves. I’m more consistent, and I think my swimming is helping with the paddling out. As this week’s goal, I’d like to go out at least once this week.
I had a great weekend surfing in Narragansett. I went Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and am finally getting the timing down on where I should be in the place of the wave. I caught quite a few good ones, though the waves were only 2-3 feet. It was a great time. My goal for this week regarding surfing is to get in the water at the pool and strengthen my upper body for some power paddling.
I’m going to Narragansett, RI this weekend and will most likely surf a couple of days. I’m not sure how the waves will be, but my goal for this weekend is to try focus on paddling out faster and not freaking out when larger waves come. And when worst comes to worse… turtle dive!
