I’m a good driver, I use proper signals ,observe the high-way code and am a courteous and careful. My father who first taught me said at the time (38yrs ago) I was a natural. What has happened in the intervening years? Well as you asked…
I didn’t take my test then, in fact I went on an extended (30 yr) trip of the rest of the world, namely England where I lived quite happily without a licence until to win a bet I went for and passed the test first time. Thereafter I was quite happy to be a passenger and didn’t actually get behind the wheel again until I returned to NZ; This country is just made to be driven. But my confidence has gone! did it ever exist?
