write short stories

Look at my Story the Peppermint Shack and see if it fits the guidelines of that contest. Deadline is Feb 29th. Make that a goal to get the story submitted. I WILL submit.

i may sound a bit arrogant but i think i’m pretty good at writing very short stories, like 1-2 A4 pages..and i want to be able to write like 20-30 short stories…

OH man, i used to this when i was about 14-15 and i thought i was pretty good at it. I could just let my imagination go wild, it was so much fun. I want to start doing this again but I want something good to write about, i want to write something that would have an interesting plot.

I like doing this but need to learn how to do it better. Most of my stories end up about 300 words long. Which is a length i quite like.

I have started to writing. Head here for stories. Writers wanted.. hehe

what was i thinking?

how lame am I? I wanted to write during my lunch at work but it’s just not working out since… on Tuesday I had to clean my house because the fridge guy was coming over and then on Wednesday one of my managers took us all to lunch. Today I have to run some errands during my lunch. Lame.

I actually started doing this. Yesterday I bought a notebook and laid out a short story. I just have to flesh it out. A little bit of writing every day.

I love reading short stories and maybe that’s what tempted me into thinking I might write them.

Currently reading ‘Birds Of America’ by Lorrie Moore, which is rich and enjoyable.

My own writing is going to wait a bit longer…

I give up on this one.

I know I was never going to do it – but I thought I might attempt it anways.

Also – I need room for more goals! =)
