how do I get over it? — 1 year ago
i was dating this guy for a year we decided to be “just friends ” after a year of dating. We got very close as friends we are best friends. We no longer have sexual contact. he has past issues with intimacy. So i moved in with him after just being friends. i have lived here a just over a year and most of the time things are great. we do so much together, movie nights dinner dates that sorta thing always hanging out. we know everything about eachother. alot of times we sleep in the same bed. He says he never plans on getting married or being in a relationship and that is pretty much why we broke up to begin with. So I dont want a sexless life so I decided to date agian. He wants everything with me except sex and marriage he says things like he treats me better than a husband treats a wife, and that he wants me to fall in love and get married but always be in his life. never leave him that kind of thing. Well he doesnt want a relationship with anyone but he wants me to be happy. confusing I know. well we made a pact never to bring anyone home.. The other night he brought home a girl. I flipped out cried alot. I love him so much I start to move on and I cant I want him and I get jealous. He says its just sex. That upsets me becuase this girl that means nothing he has no feelings for gets everything~ the one thing that keeps me and him not together. I find this so fustrating and he doesnt get it! any ideas, thoughts, encouraging words would be helpful. thanx
