I tend to throw all mail on the desk. I want to get away from that and have it filed immediately. Not laying there a week later to sort through and discard/pay. Most of the bills I receive I have set up on an auto pay plan or I pay online and review. I need to eliminate unnecessary paperwork.

Now it’s up to me to use these tools that were given to me,
and really keep my bills organized, not just bills but my life!
So i’m working on a life organiser with tabs for different categories & sub-categories including
BILLS
Music(songs/lyrics/bands)
Health(doctor/dentist appt’s)
Crafts(projects/jewelry/photo/film)
Movies(to rent/buy/favorites)
Books(to read/buy/rent/write/favorites)
Home(furniture/storage/just things i’d like to buy)
Beauty(make up/tips/product recommendations)
ETC. ETC. ETC!!!!!

My co-worker was talking about getting herself organised and she showed me a list she had made for herself,
I told her that I too need to get my life organised,
the next day she left me a couple printouts,
a few checkbook balance sheets in a different layouts so that I could print out the one I liked best.

I deal with my bills every two weeks when I get paid. I’ve got a couple of computer documents I use, and I keep paperwork in a portable file box stashed under a table. No debt and no chaos. Works for me.

i’ve switched to online banking and bill pay for almost everything. i’m better at keeping track of websites than i am with paper bills. still not completed though.

started putting my check register into Quicken 1/9/05, not finished but started putting checks into there from October 04, still have all of the reconciliations to do but it is a start
