Well actually I was asked to write a essay about this, and heres the part I wanna tell you guys about:
From a little baby I was given the wrong milk to drink;
And from then I had a bad growing start,
How ever much I drank/ate that’s how much
I throw up back. I don’t exactly remember
when I was given the right milk but it was
pretty late when I did. You can probably imagine how thin and unhealthy I was. But as I grew, I pretty much got back to the look of my age; soon I had to start drinking regular milk like everyone else. At the age of 7-8 my dad started to make me exercise; I soon grew tall! I was given a lot of vegetables, fruits and meats to eat, for me to grow! In the summer of 2005; I flew back to China to see my family members; to everyone is was a good thing, but to my healthy eating diet, no. There wasn’t my regular milk that I drink every morning, so I had to go through 1 month without milk; as a result I became the habit of not drinking milk. Plus, this also made me have the habit of not exercising in the morning. When I came back to Canada, I had lost about 30 pounds. But I was able to gain them back! My eating diet changed a lot. I don’t eat fruits as much as I use to; but I’m trying hard to gain back the habit of drinking milk and eating fruits! Right now I eat vegetables and meat, plus junk food. I can’t say I’m healthy or I not healthy; I would say I’m in between the 2. Hopefully I will become healthy later on in life!

Harvard School of Public Health, on the Consumption of Dairy Products (2005):
“The recommendation to drink three glasses of low-fat milk or eat three servings of other dairy products per day to prevent osteoporosis is another step in the wrong direction. … Three glasses of low-fat milk add more than 300 calories a day. This is a real issue for the millions of Americans who are trying to control their weight. What’s more, millions of Americans are lactose intolerant, and even small amounts of milk or dairy products give them stomachaches, gas, or other problems. This recommendation ignores the lack of evidence for a link between consumption of dairy products and prevention of osteoporosis. It also ignores the possible increases in risk of ovarian cancer and prostate cancer associated with dairy products.”

I went to the dentist today. The Xray showed I have bone loss around the teeth. It’s kind of like dental osteoporosis. I want to beat this, start with drinking 3 glasses of milk a day! 4 years ago

I’ve realized that I need to drink milk more, too, for the reason of my hair being dry & brittle. Recently when I went to get my hair done, my beautician had to cut my hair a lot shorter than I thought because it had broke off so much. I also think that maybe drinking milk could maybe help my nails grow (plus if I would stop biting & picking at them that would greatly help). Above all else, milk is good for my body. A nice cold glass tastes good, too! 5 years ago

well, I definitely drink more milk now than before I started this goal. I’d say I drink about 5 glasses of milk a week. 5 years ago

I really dislike the taste of milk… but I can handle milk with chocolate syrup alright. My goal for now is just 1 glass a day… I know it sounds very minimal.. but would be a big deal for a milk-hater like me :) 5 years ago

I used to hate the taste of milk, but made a concious effort to drink it anyway. Try only drinking milk and water, for me it worked because I’d rather drink milk than water, at least it has some taste to it. I like it now. i can only drink skim milk though, real milk is too thick for me. 5 years ago

I’ve been doing pretty well with my two glasses a day goal. I’ve actually been drinking one HUGE glass each day; for some reason, that’s easier for me! 5 years ago

is my goal. I’ve barely been drinking one glass, lately, so I hope I can do this. Eventually, I’d like to work up to three. 5 years ago

Ok, so I’m drinking milk all the time now and actually kind of liking it. I want to keep this up, but I’m going to consider this a done thing since I’ve gotten myself used to drinking milk again now. 6 years ago

Another good thing about adding my glass of milk to my diet is that it’s helped me cut back on the amount of soda I drink. I was thinking of putting drink less soda as a goal, but in a way, this is the same sort of thing. I’ve been keeping up with my glass a day. It’s not tasting so bad to me anymore. When I’ve been drinking it for a month and it’s not so much of a thought of “oh I need to drink my milk today” then I’ll consider this done, though I plan to continue to always have a glass of milk a day. 6 years ago

since I put this on my list I’ve had a glass of milk everyday. This is hard for me because at some point in time the taste of plain milk became really disgusting to me. Strange because as a kid I’d have it for lunch everyday and I remember having a nice tall glass of milk after school and loving it. But now, well it’s just not that appealing to me. So I’d like to get to the point where I enjoy it again if that’s possible. I want the calcium and all the other vitamins I get from it. And I will say after drinking milk for a week my hair does seem softer, smoother, and glossier. I don’t know if the milk really has anything to do with that, but I’m going to tell myself it does so I have another reason to drink this stuff :p 6 years ago

Don’t get me wrong, I drink milk all the time as you can probably tell from my photo, on average about 1 litre a day. This is clearly not enough milk for me, I am gonna try and incorporate milk into every meal. Milk is the first and last source of goodness and nutrition, milk for hangovers and milk for healing, milk for life! 6 years ago
