Milkmilkmilk~
16 months ago
Well actually I was asked to write a essay about this, and heres the part I wanna tell you guys about:
From a little baby I was given the wrong milk to drink;
And from then I had a bad growing start,
How ever much I drank/ate that’s how much
I throw up back. I don’t exactly remember
when I was given the right milk but it was
pretty late when I did. You can probably imagine how thin and unhealthy I was. But as I grew, I pretty much got back to the look of my age; soon I had to start drinking regular milk like everyone else. At the age of 7-8 my dad started to make me exercise; I soon grew tall! I was given a lot of vegetables, fruits and meats to eat, for me to grow! In the summer of 2005; I flew back to China to see my family members; to everyone is was a good thing, but to my healthy eating diet, no. There wasn’t my regular milk that I drink every morning, so I had to go through 1 month without milk; as a result I became the habit of not drinking milk. Plus, this also made me have the habit of not exercising in the morning. When I came back to Canada, I had lost about 30 pounds. But I was able to gain them back! My eating diet changed a lot. I don’t eat fruits as much as I use to; but I’m trying hard to gain back the habit of drinking milk and eating fruits! Right now I eat vegetables and meat, plus junk food. I can’t say I’m healthy or I not healthy; I would say I’m in between the 2. Hopefully I will become healthy later on in life!

Harvard School of Public Health, on the Consumption of Dairy Products (2005):
“The recommendation to drink three glasses of low-fat milk or eat three servings of other dairy products per day to prevent osteoporosis is another step in the wrong direction. … Three glasses of low-fat milk add more than 300 calories a day. This is a real issue for the millions of Americans who are trying to control their weight. What’s more, millions of Americans are lactose intolerant, and even small amounts of milk or dairy products give them stomachaches, gas, or other problems. This recommendation ignores the lack of evidence for a link between consumption of dairy products and prevention of osteoporosis. It also ignores the possible increases in risk of ovarian cancer and prostate cancer associated with dairy products.”

BrittaP03 It is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
So, I know it’s good for me. I have done enough harm to my body when i was a teenager with really bad eating habits, so I’m really scared about getting osteoporosis when I’m old. I broke my foot once, but thankfully it healed up ok. I tolerate milk alright, and I have experimented which percentage I like the best. I like 1% the best for drinking. I shoot for at least a tall glass a day. Makes my nails grow much nicer, too.

After seeing how brittle bones can become in anatomy lab, I’m adding this goal to my list. I don’t want to snap like a pencil when I’m older.

I recently discovered, after trying to consume more milk, that it gives me an awful stomach ache.

I went to the dentist today. The Xray showed I have bone loss around the teeth. It’s kind of like dental osteoporosis. I want to beat this, start with drinking 3 glasses of milk a day!
