Josh ...and life just rolls on like a river.
Well, it’s Friday, and I’m off. I’ve actually worked the last few Fridays, but I think I’m back on track for my goal of have three day weekends become the norm. I’ve got my schedule worked out, and I’m off next Friday, as well.

Machacha Trying to just let things happend
I quite dunno why, but it seem like a dont have time to do ANYTHINBG…and thats not right…have to focus my time and not waste it,
Like trying to do a trillions thing a day…Feeling weird, cause time passes and it is like “I must do this and that and that before it is too late”
Take a little more time and be more selective
excuse my grammar

I’ve decided that I’m going to start taking three days weekends. Fridays will be a day off from now on (except on rare but unavoidable occasions). I work for myself, so it won’t be too hard to arrange. I work (on average) about 7-8 hours a day… so I’ll probably a 30 hour work week (29 hours this week). I don’t want to spend all my time working… and I’ll still do fine financially. I just don’t believe we were supposed to spend our lives working away (I don’t think you should be lazy either… if you are capable/able I believe you should support yourself and those who depend on you).

Well, I’ve almost entirely cut out driving, I’ve built in time for a daily walk, I work from home, and I’ve made local friends I like to hang out with. My life does feel slower, and I love it! I’m taking this goal off my list b/c I wouldn’t want things to slow down TOO much. :D G’luck, all!

This one is sort of an on going profect. I’ve been trying to do this for years now. Things have improved greatly, but there is still more room for improvement. People get in way too much of a hurry. There simply isn’t a reason for all the madness and stress.

I visited my parents place in France a few weeks ago, helped them do some work on it, and I couldn’t help but feel that’s what life should be like. Sitting on a flight of stairs, overlooking the country where it’s sunny almost every day, the neighbours are friendly and will go out of their way to help you even though they barely know you.
I hope that one day when I have a book published and when I can live off writing that I’ll be able to live in a nice country house. Where I can go down to a pond and do some fishing, grow some vegetables, keep chickens… the honest things.

For that, you gotta move to anywhere other than the US. Trust me on this one…

I moved back to my home town in the country, got myself a part-time job (15-20 hours a week).. so now I have time to – literally – stop and smell the roses :) Sure, I don’t earn much money, but all my bills are paid and I have no stress… seems a fair sacrifice to me!!

One year ago, I agreed with my company to work part-time. And although the missing money would have allowed us some extra treats, I feel that the extra time makes my life much more worth living. So, if you can afford to do it, don’t hesitate!
