I met my new doctor yesterday and am really pleased! She was suggested by a friend in the medical professions, so I didn’t know what to expect. She’s laid-back, slow-moving (which I like), talks, AND listens! My blood work is scheduled for Oct. 13, the physical for Oct. 22. I told her that I am turning 29 in a month and really want to take the next year to go into my thirties as healthy as possible! My next step towards this goal is to lose 5 pounds by the physical. Wish me luck!

I don’t have any STDs, my blood pressure and cholesterol levels are good to normal, and my liver seems to be doing just fine! If anything, I should be drinking MORE, I think.

I like my new physician. He didn’t really flinch when I told him I had 3-5 drinks a day (other than saying that I knew that it was a health concern). And when I told him about my paranoias about cancer and liver problems, he didn’t look at me (too) weirdly.
I’m surprised that my blood pressure is normal (110/80)... considering all the stress I’ve been in lately. Maybe it’s offset by my crazy diet? Or higher highs and lower lows? Laughing more and crying more?
I got a tetanus shot. Then did a urine sample and blood sample for all kinds of STDs and liver analysis and cholesterol levels. I’m excited to see what comes back. Stay tuned!

I thought I’d have to deal with all kinds of name issues since I’m registered at Swedish under a different name, but it didn’t seem to phase them! And I got an appointment for tomorrow morning which is pretty awesome. My PCP must not be very busy. Well, I’ll fix that with my barrage of paranoid requests. Oh yes.

I haven’t gotten a full physical in maybe two years. I need to check all of my paranoias off of the checklist again. Cancer, STDs, liver problems, cholesterol levels, blood pressure, etc. My doctor’s used to me pestering them about getting an chest x-ray scan and other less fun tests done. But then I don’t come in for two years, so I think it balances out.

muddart is really, really tired, but can't sleep
I completed this some weeks ago, but haven’t had time to update. Everything is good. I’m evidentally in great shape. Still could stand to lose 10 lbs, but all my blood levels are very good. So one thing that don’t have to think about for another year!

I almost didn’t get it… the doc was recommended by a friend, but then her receptionist said she wasn’t accepting new patients until March. But for some reason the doc changed her mind, and the receptionist called me back the next day to say the doc had decided to accept me as a new patient.
So, I have an appt for early next week, and then I can mark it done.

My big problem is I don’t care for my primary care physician. I need to find a new doctor. I have a doctor friend who I could probably call for a recommendation. Maybe that should be my next step: call doctor friend.

Recently have had some health problems. Had to have surgery. Before that I was thinking I should get a complete physical soon—the works: blood workup, stress test, cholesterol screening, etc. So now that through surgery, thinking I should do it again.
Goal: Next week: make an appointment
