It’s such a part of my day. And as I’m not working at the moment, it’s actually the only part of my day. I was in there this morning and decided I wasn’t really enjoying the experience. Then I realized that the money I would save if I quit, between now and january, would pay off my overdraft, pay for my London to L.A. flight and give me $200 to, I dunno, go see my friend in Mississippi? So I quit.
But what do I do now? I wake up, and then….? I have NOTHING to do! I’m bored enough as it is! It will be easier when I’m working and I’m back at the gym, but until then, I’m screwed.

STFU1337 is getting ready to be AWESOME!
i’m pretty sure i have pretty much eliminated starbucks, but sometimes when i feel the need for a coffee like drink, i may end up there.
i want to make sure not a cent of my paycheck goes to that horrid place.
no coffee is better than starbucks coffee.

I did really try to accomplish this goal, but I’ve decided at this moment in time I can’t completely eliminate starbucks. Coffee shops have become the place I get the most schoolwork done, and since it’s my last year I am loaded up with work. I have gotten better at going to other coffee shops than starbucks though, and most of the independent places really are better (and often even have free WI-FI!).
I hope to eventually take up this goal again in the future.

Okay so its september 1st and i’m starting to attempt this. Although i’m drinking coffee at the moment, it’s not starbucks. In fact its in an independent place that i’ve always wanted to try and finally decided to make the effort to ride the bus down here.
And its already ten times better, delicious drink, free wifi, and eclectic surroundings- right up my alley.

As with any addiction one is never not addicted. About 2 1/2 months ago I decided that my twice-daily Starbucks was a bit ridiculous. I was not even finshing my iced-venti-caramel-sauce-mocha each morning, so I started wondering why I was bothering. Mostly I enjoyed the routine of stopping by (one of) my favorite Starbucks for my regular $5+ drink. By mid-afternoon, I would be in “need” of a boost, so I would make my way to whichever Starbucks was nearby. If I was going, I would also buy my partner something to drink, as well. Talk about a fiscal nightmare (for me, not for Starbucks shareholders). Anyhow, it’s coming up on three months, and aside from the DT’s I suffered for the first week, I’ve actually been feeling better overall. I highly recommend giving your body and wallet a break from this addiction.

1. Either you can’t afford it anymore
or
2. Do some really crazy when your their! Like complain how your coffee is too hot or cold, or say you asked for something else that you didn’t really ask for. Eventually you will be so annoying, they will ban you from coming.
