not buy a guitar

I worked out the solution… I’m going to buy a (digital) piano. I have much more skill in that area, so I won’t be using up ‘learning curve’ – I can just play and gain pleasure without using up too much brain power. That means my brain can continue on Japanese, but I can satisfy my need for some self-generated music in the house.

I nearly went for a free reed organ from freecycle a few months ago, but it didn’t work out – and that’s a good thing, it wouldn’t have been right.

Now I just have to start saving like mad…

I used to tinker with the guitar about 10 years ago and keep having the urge to buy one. But I really don’t need one, and if I spend guitar-tinkering time on Japanese, then my fluency will skyrocket. Yes, skyrocket I tell you.

So I want to not buy a guitar.
