A Ducati is like a mistress you know you shouldn’t have. From the first time I laid eyes on her, and better yet… heard the throaty growl of Italian musica that only a V-twin symphony through carbon fiber Termignoni pipes can muster, I knew I had to have one. So I started saving my pennies, and dedicating myself to this noble, and at the same time, irrational, goal. In 1999 I finally got myself a Ducati Monster 750, and never looked back… road trips, track days, even just the long way home or even to work. All of it puts a shit-eating grin on my face that makes my non-riding buddies ask, why? And every time I throw a leg over and turn the switch, she answers…

These are maintenance intensive buggers… there aren’t a ton of shops around. Best to buy one that has a maitenance record. Best to be handy when it comes to doing work yourself, as it’ll save you a few bucks when it comes to the every 6k or 12k services.
