okay, so i am just barely under 200, but i know that i will stay under 200 so i am marking this goal complete.
there was nothing better than getting on the doctor scale at the gym and moving the bottom 200 notch to 150.

i’ll let this be my last entry until i reach 199.
all the running/jogging i have been doing to train myself for future running events has made me continue to lose weight at a steady pace.
it’s hard to believe that i can now shop at banana republic (if i wanted to) and be able to fit the clothes.
losing all this weight hasn’t been really all that hard when i look back on it.
i just took it one day at a time.
and i like my body so much more with every day that goes by.
i will never go back to the weight that i was.
i just wish i had not wasted so much of my life being super fat. :(

most days i feel like i am the same person i was when i was heavier. i catch myself shopping in the 2x racks in the plus size area of clothing stores. the only thing that reminds me is this picture.

i can now physically push myself to run 3 miles at a time on the treadmill at the gym. i’m working on trying to do it faster and maybe with a bit of an incline as well. the better i can do now, the better i will do at bloomsday in may for the 7 mile race.

as far as weight loss goes, my metabolism slowed down quite a bit the last 3 or so weeks. i have been eating more food in order to slow down the weight loss process… but half of that food has not been good foods. so it’s been a lot of high sodium and fattening foods. i am trying to get back on track though. the last couple of days have been really good. and i have even felt better.

i forgot to mention that i inspired my brother so much with my weight loss that he wants me to help him with his weight loss plan. he’s over 500 pounds and only 23 years old. he feels like he is having heart problems, but can’t afford to go to the doctor and find out what all is wrong with him. i just hope that he is taking all of my advice to heart. :)it feels really good to be able to help him. i hope that by him doing the right thing, maybe my mom will start doing it too. my whole family is overweight.

i’m trying to stay focused more on my athletic ability now than weight loss. i am pretty much where i want to be at for the winter.. i know the 11 pounds will come off while i am training. but most days i have bumped up my food intake by at least 400-800 calories. i just need it to continue to come off slowly so that i can continue to fit my clothes through the winter months. lol
i am training myself to be able to run 5k by the end of october. i’ve got a long ways to go… but i’m so proud of myself for even trying!

i gained a little bit back again.
but it’s not fat. it’s water weight from eating high sodium meals the last week or so.
still going to the gym and eating right otherwise.
not too worried about it.
i’m training to run a 5k and then bloomsday in 223 days.
so the weight will come off.

it’s a great feeling when random people approach you to tell you how good you look these days. by random, i mean, people you know but don’t often talk to or see.
this has happened twice to me in less than 24 hours. :)
not a day goes by that someone doesn’t comment on my weight loss. i may not be skinny yet, but i know that people are noticing now.

went on vacation and ended up gaining around 4 pounds. we’ve been home and working out and eating right since thursday. i managed to take that 4 pounds back off since then. most of it was water weight so it was just a matter of eating lower sodium foods again.
since i no longer have a reason to push myself super hard (vacation), i think i will stop obsessing so much about everything. the weight will come off at a slower pace now.

not gonna make it to 210 by vacation…. but i tried.
not worried about it because what’s the difference between what i weigh now and what 210 is? not a whole lot.
i’ll just tell everyone i made it to 210 even though i didn’t. lol

today, i wore a pair of old slacks that i have not worn since i was 18 (8 years ago). i remember them fitting differently back then though. before, they were looser in the butt and tighter in the stomach, now it’s just the opposite. but it’s nice to know i am finally back into my ‘goal pants’.

hopefully while i am on vacation i do not gain any weight back. i plan to still try to get in as much jogging/running and core exercising as possible. i plan on eating a few unhealthy meals and having alcohol though. but this is my only vacation, so it’s worth the sacrifice. i worked hard to look better for this vacation and i’ll be damned if i’m gonna not indulge a little.

285lbs – 212.5lbs = 72.5 pounds lost since last year. 57.5 of it since the end of may this year.
