Chocolunatic is working on goal 8. & 36.
one seson very soon. It was rejuvenating for the soul and spirit :) I had some really good times there too ;)
I’m thinking we need to start a fund in order to reach this goal…sigh. We have funds for so many other things…like our house buying fund, new car buying fund, going to see the parents fund, but sadly, although this should be a priority, it just isn’t at this point because as a new couple we have so much we desire to accomplish to establish ourselves. It’s discouraging, really. Insh’Allah, Allah will guide us in our sincere endeavors. I would like to take our parents (both sides) along as well. Then it would feel like the ultimate family experience. I truly can’t imagine going without my family.
farfaraway :)
My parents went last year and I couldn’t go because of my exams….only missed it by a difference of one week :( couldn’t manage to study early to take the exams early.
My husband and I want to go…he’s been the one to say that we should go soon before we start a family, insh’Allah. I agree with him. We should create a strong spiritual base for our family, and I think going to hajj together will deepen our faith, and strengthen our bond with each other.
what’s the ratio of the earthy life compared to the life to come?
Here you have around; let said 100 years to live if you’re very lucky(with all the difficulties that come along with that lifetime)
On the other hand, you have eternity in the live to come with the high status and blessing that can come along with the immortality. So, what’s the ratio of 100 divided by infinity? It’s egal to 00000000….. if we stop right there! At that point, it seems insane for whoever knows this reality to prefer this life over the hereafter. That’s a shame and the worse is that we also know how severe the wrap of Allah is. So severe that you wouldn’t want the most sinful person to go through it. So let’s wake up and face the reality(=follow the teachings of the prophet & stay away from evil). For more on Ilsma view my blog
