mrkatapat is discovering how everything is as it seems not to be.
Ten years ago I had eliminated sugar from my diet. My sweet tooth is legendary, and I worry that I may develop a condition one day. it’s time to reverse the clock.

There’s so many things I want to do for myself right now – and getting rid of sugar is one of those things! Water with lemon is saving my life right now. I am a sugar addict, and I’m going to take control! No more chocolate and candy ruining my sleep, my health, my body and my life!!!
I’m not eliminating all sugar, seeing as it’s impossible. I’m just eliminating refined sugars. Good luck to you all!
today was my first day at trying to cut out sweets- im trying to take this step-by-step. a generally successful day but i did feel exhausted without a mid-afternoon sugar boost! perhaps i’ll try tea tomorrow
Finally! I am so proud of myself, as lame as that sounds. Everyone out there: YOU CAN DO IT!!! I juest haven’t been buring it and just drink plain coffee instead (as mostly I creaved chocolate) for the caffeine boost.
I eat a lot of salads, etc. The only thing is when it is around me, like today I went to Vakllentine’s Party, then I have no/ little control. I ate it.
rats!
Once you get over the cravings you will not want it anymore. I stopped 8 years ago. I have great cholesterol levels, and I feel wonderful! This is definitely worth doing. You will thank yourself.
And when I manage to I feel ssoooooo much better inside and out. Right now I am only having in periodcially. But to my body even fruit makes it react like sugar. I need protein at every meal, and to not mend problems with life or love affairs with CHOCOLATE!!!!
My ultimate goal is to have the perfectly healthy diet. I doubt I’ll ever reach that goal 100%, but if I work more consciously towards it, then that is good enough. :)
Sugar isn’t a huge component of my diet, so this won’t be a big stretch. I use unrefined organic cane sugar on the rare occasion that I bake, and I am using honey more and more. I do like the occasional sweet thing, but I am pretty restrained on my sweet consumption. One weakness is pre-made granola and cereal, so I would like to focus more on eliminating this ‘hidden’ cereal sugar in my diet. I tend to eat organic cereals, which usually use an unrefined cane sugar, but it is still more sugar than I probably need in my diet.
My other weakness is chocolate and again, I tend to eat only a piece or two of the good organic varieties each day…with the odd indulgence in junkie chocolate. I’d like to use more self-control and banish it completely, or at least enjoy it only once a week. We’ll see how well I do! :)
Yes! I feel so good. Then I had some tea (not decaf) and I got so cranky. May have to stay caff free too.
But it has been five days. I have more energy, and am much nicer to be around!
