clean out my car

...I can get to this today. I wonder how many trash bags it will take? It’s really bad. I can’t even fit another person in the car. It needs to be done. I am going to try today. TRY.

i completed this task a few days ago! yay! and just in time i had to take my super neat freak mother in law (to be) to the doctor. she even commented on the lovely smell! :) success!

Brought up the last set of IKEA doors. Slid the passenger seat forward and got all the papers and garbage out from underneath. (baby steps…) Really need to bring up the boxes of clothes from the trunk and decide what goes to good will or consignment shop.

is costing me in gas mileage.

There’s gobs of random CDs rolling around in the door pockets, some IKEA furniture doors, books, boxes of clothes from my mom’s house that I intend to go through and give away half of, some pipes, tools, a bag in the front seat full of receipts and garbage, some office organizing containers I never brough up to my office…

I need to make a day and just DO THIS!

My car is currently parked about six blocks away. It’d be nice though to have the trunk cleaned out. It looks relatively presentable currently for having passengers in it. I think two 27 thing boogies, and it’ll be done. I could do this this week, as I’m currently job seeking and have some more time.

But not for a while and there are other things that belong on this list instead.

For all intensive purposes, it’s clean! It’s not a professional job, but I wouldn’t be ashamed to drive my parents around in it. Now I just need to donate the stuff that’s in the trunk.

It hit me the other day when I was loading the kids in how messy it is. I cleaned it out a bit and spray the dish detergent/water mix to scrub out some gross spots. It needs a bit of everything (vaccuuming, scrubbing, stain removal, more vaccuuming, and maintaining it).

It was a lot of work but I finally got that car clean! Now if I can just keep it that way! :-)

Doesn’t it feel better when it’s done?
I cleared out all the rubbish, now just need to vacuum.
Moving into a new flat has helped, now that I’m getting public transport and have proper storage int he flat it’s meant that less stuff is ‘living’ in my car.
My new parking spot is underneath a tree though, so my car has been “decorated” beautifully by the birds… now need to clean the outside as well ;-)
