I have been reading up on how to transplant some of the flowers in my garden. In the process I have learned lots about gardening.

I love my garden and hope to learn more so that I may one day be truly experienced enough to teach the generations which follow me the art of gardening. For a garden is nothing more that an artist’s masterpiece created with a living canvas.

I just visited a few web sites that gave instructions for dividing Tulip, Tiger Lilly, and Bearded Iris bulbs. I am looking forward to the appropriate times of year so that I can do this!

i've been reading. 2 years ago

I have this book, has to do with gardening. It’s on care free plants. It’s good, and has a lot of information. I just need to start sitting down and really read it. I’ve also been looking up websites on different plants, and looking at catologs too, getting the spring fever to start working in my yard. Stupid beautiful snow needs to go aways so I can. I also looked up stuff on how to take care of a lawn, cause whats left of ours, is horrible. Flooding, clay and ugly missing patches of lawn do it no justice. comes from not doing a dang thing with it these last couple of years since we moved in. But that’s all finally going to change! WOO HOO! I can’t wait! yeah!

flowers. 2 years ago

my cousin gave me some flower bulbs to plant this spring, for xmas, and my mom finally brought them over. the day we celebrated xmas with my family, she forgot it under her own tree at home, and we were at my moms. so, they are alliums, and beautiful flowers, I hope they turn out as beautiful in my garden as they are on the package. I don’t know where I am going to plant them. I may wait, and try to talk my hubby into doing something different with our front yard this year, start working towards what I want our front yard to look like with the landscaping. I have had this idea of what I wanted to do for flower gardens in our front yard, the problem is our dog. He likes to use the front yard as his bathroom and so do many other dogs in the neighborhood, I wouldn’t doubt, so if I catch a dog digging in my garden in the front I don’t know what I’ll do. Maybe I’ll wait. Hopefully we’ll be able to borrow our neighbors rototiller and redo the entire front yard. It’s so ugly at the moment, I think if we re-seeded it and stayed off it for awhile, it would look so much better. We shall see.

i am going to do this this year! 2 years ago

I am tired of not knowing a darn thing really when it comes to gardening. I feel like i have a black thumb. I am trying to save money, so I am going to go to the library at the end of this week, with my girls again, and look into borrowing a few gardening books. Maybe the book of gardening for dummies, lol. Who knows, I like sunset gardening books and such, I will have to see.
