move the baby's room

. . . her crib is still in our room. I want to move her into her own room, but at the same time I get just a tiny bit sad(ish) when I think about the inevitable – the littlest steps toward her independence constantly remind me of the bittersweetness of our ultimate role as parents – it is at once delightful and frightening how fast she is growing becoming her own person . . . My goal here is to have her in her room by my birthday (Feb 14)

I think I can get this done within two weeks…I need to mount the bookshelf upstairs, move everything out of the room where she will be going, move her stuff downstairs, and the other stuff upstairs…If only it were as easy to execute as it was to type it in…oh, and clean the carpets and install baseboards in her soon-to-be new room somewhere in between moving stuff out and her in…
