How to clean my car

How I did it: I put aside a couple hours when the weather was cool and sunny. I first washed the outside with soap, and did the outside of the windows with some windex and an old cloth. Then I threw out all the trash that was in my car and detailed the insides & inside windows with more windex and a fresh cloth. I hauled the vacuum out, and did the trunk and all the floors. Finally I Frebreezed the seats and cleaned anything that I may have missed. For the finishing touch, I bought new floormats and a strawberry air freshener. My car is finally clean and smells great! Lessons & tips: You don't even have to set aside a whole day, this only takes maybe 1-3 hours, so it can be accomplished with only a little bit of time. Make sure you have all the materials (cleaning spray, vacuum, paper towels or rags) before you get started. Start from the outside first and work your way in. Also a good idea is to use a vacuum with a small head so you can get in between all the little spaces. Resources: Windex, vacuum, old rags, paper towels

Looking black again! It didn’t last for long though, because I went to Chicoutimi in the afternoon and it was raining, and since the roads are still not very clean, I get mud on the car as soon as I follow another car. Now it’s all dirty again, bleh…

And it took exactly 5 hours. :P
I took all the stuff and trash out of the car. Empty bottles and cans, plus some stuff I keep in it.
I vacuumed the whole car, the seats, the carpets, the trunk.
I cleaned the dashboard and all those little compartments, and all the plastic surfaces, and also the inside of the doors and trunk, with some all purpose soap and water.
I rubbed the whole dashboard as well as the interior of the doors with a cloth and some Armor All, to make everything shine.
I washed the outside two times. Then dried it with a cloth, and then washed the little remaining spots with Windex.
I cleaned the windows, outside and inside. As well as all the mirrors.
I took the stuff I didn’t need anymore out, threw away some, brought some back in the house. I’ve put the rest back in the car, but in places where it doesn’t look like it’s a mess.
I classified my CD’s to put them back into alphabetical order.
I took the rubber AND cloth carpets out, washed them with the pressure machine, brushed them with some bleach, rinsed them and put them on the clothesline.
I put some shiny stuff on the tires.
I think it looks alright now! The only bad thing is that I said I was going to take pictures… and I didn’t take any. :P
I’ll make sure to take one tomorrow, and show the car in its full cleanliness. :)

Yeah, it’s such a mess! Well… for everyone who sat into my car recently, it’s like super clean. But to me, it’s a mess!!!
I have cans and bottles of soda behind the passenger seat. The dashboard is all dusty, the carpets are full of sand, my windows look disgusting, there is american money in the box between the seats, and even the alphabetical order of my CD’s is all messed up.
I need a nice sunny day so that I can make it look new again. :)

I get this goal completed and three days later it needs to be done again. I won’t even try to take a guess at what all that crap in my van is and where it came from. I know some of it isn’t even mine! It is way to cold out to do anything about it today though so next warm day that comes along, I need to clean, wash and vaccuum that mode of transportation.
