find and register to run a 5K

I finally got off my butt and registered for the 5k that is part of the 15th Annual Ridgewalk & Run that is being held October 21, 2007 in Wellsville, NY. The website is here.

I’d been debating about whether I should do the 5k or the 10k, but I settled on the 5k because I figure since I’ve never run any race before I should see what it’s all about before jumping right in. I mean I’ve already told Deni H that I’ll run the 10k with her in Mississippi in May 2008, and I plan on running the God’s Country Marathon here in Coudersport next June, so it’s good to start small.

Found a site where there are weekend runs listed for SF. Yay! Okay, so I am going to look at my schedule for the next run to see if I can do it. It would be in another week.

this weekend and I wasn’t registered to run. I haven’t been running regularly and need to get this goal completed. With some initiative I just need to find a 5K and sign up. Then I am committed and I am sure that will motivate me to train!

is that there are many from which to choose. I am thinking it would be fun to do the Progressive 5K in the SF Marathon. It’s probably an amazing atmosphere and you run beneath the Bay Bridge and by AT&T Park. I emailed the link to hubby to see what he thinks.
