What a big pain in the butt to try and get this thing to stay on my front bumper. It is on. I hope it stays on. I don’t understand the big deal anyway, not every state requires TWO plates, what is the big deal??
Well this is done, frustratingly done, but done, dammit!

I can’t believe I got pulled over in my appartment complex!! He didn’t see the plate in my front window it seems, but at least the one in front with the duct tape is gone!!
So I bought some heavy duty wire to some how jury rig this thing back onto my car. Enough is enough. I must say I had a lovely time at the hardware store this weekend, had extra keys made as sarah lost hers at school and I lost mine out hiking, bought that glue for the rocking chair, the wire for the license plate, and a fishing pole. You can’t beat that! The goal is to fix the license plate not just buy the stuff to do it, so lets get it done.

The screws are stripped? I think. The screws that hold the license plate on just keep turning around and around and around I have talked to some other people who have the same type of car, (a 1992 honda accord) as I do and they said that they have had similar problems removing the front plate Vermont is a state that requires both front and back so it is not like I can just cut the screws off and let it be. I currently have my license plate in the front windsheild and have the old one covered. (with all thigs…..eek…..duct tape. can’t believe I am telling you all this.) It seems that the bumpber is filled with fiberglass so you can’t just reach around and hold on to the nut on the back side. I thought about cutting them off, but then how will I get the new one on? I tried a little leverage from behind the plate to pull the screws out but that is not working either. I am thinking that I now have to just come up with another solution. My current line of thinking is drilling holes in teh four corners of both the existing plate and teh new one and zip tie the new one on.
Any other sugestions are welcome.
