I never had keyboarding in school. In our high school if you were a boy you took shop (we made some cool stuff), the girls took something else that I imagine involved cooking, sewing, or typing. The point is, I have trouble with the keyboard and my fingers cannot keep up with my thoughts.
Instead of learning to keyboard (more efficiently) I’d like to learn to podcast. I’m a school superintendent and I think there’s potential in this. Working with people is an emotional business; podcasting seems as if it will be more personal.
I’m going to start with a bit of spontaneous research (43 Things) and then move to an on-line class through globalclassroomusa.org. Several of the teachers in our district have taken classes through this site and have been happy.
My plan is to use podcasting as a communication too with students, families, and residents of our school district. If any one else wants to listen in, that’s fine.
