go to Key West

I finally got the opportunity to go back in Sept. 07. We had a rental car we were using to go to a few different concerts around Florida and Georgia and we found ourselves sitting home one night with nothing to do. My husband and I thought it would be fun to drive down there for lunch and come back. I was convinced that it really wouldn’t take the 8 1/2 hours Mapquest said it would take. Boy was I wrong!! We got down there at 9 in the morning and found our they were having “Bike Week”, so there were no hotels we could have stayed in even if we wanted to! We had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe, took the obligatory pictures, and left for home.

The last two hours of the trip, I thought we were going to die. I was exhausted and it was raining hard. We made it home unscathed with stories to tell. :)

Don’t tell my wife, but Sloppy Joe’s was the center of the Bachelor Dave Universe.

I’ve been there many times. And had many good times—met hot chicks there, got in fights there, got slapped by a hot chick there.

It was the center of the Bachelor Dave Universe. But that’s all in the past now.

Now I’m happily married and I don’t miss any of that stuff.

Like many things, its not the arrival, its the journey.

Imagine bridges where you cannot see either end, and turqoise water to the horizon.

I’m thinking I’ll save this for winter time. Close to my birthday maybe late February.

Well, I was so excited to go to key west that when we got there it was a bit of a disappointment. It was very windy and kind of cold, the locals were not the friendliest. Got to do the haunted tour and that is what I was looking forward to. Overall, probably wouldn’t go back again.

An awesome trip that I will never forget. The sunrises and sunsets were inspiring. I would love to go back!

Key West is so beautiful! The temperature is perfect, the shopping is great, and the homes there are so cute! I would love to go back! Don’t pass up a visit to Key West :)

Took a trip to the Keys for Thanksgiving in ‘99 with my parents. It’s definitely crazy and different, but worth the six hour drive, just to see famous landmarks. Unfortunately, you can barely see off the wharf at Mallory Square, what with all the cruise ships, but there’s plenty more to do. I recommend snorkeling off a catamaran if you are able to. . .it’s a breathtaking experience!

And have a reservation to visit again this coming January, so clearly, I felt it was worth doing. :)
