For my dad’s side of the family. About to do mom’s. That is a start . . . need to go back a generation . . . like grandparents and great grandparents.

I’d say I’d pretty much accomplished this now…I’ve got tonnes of people reaching back 7 generations….finding out all the siblings and relatives of those generations now. Very interesting

In December I was looking up something on the Internet, somehow got to a page about geneology, and it went from there. I’d never really been interested in making a family tree before, but once I’d started, and with the information available on the Web, it was really kind of fun.
When I went to my sister’s for Christmas, I got even more info from my mom and dad and it helped to complete the immediate family spaces that I’d been missing. Eventually my tree linked to a few other completed trees. Maybe my information helped theirs.
Anyway, as long as it doesn’t become an all-consuming project, making a family tree is fun and interesting. I helped my roommate with one on her family and don’t mind helping anyone else interested.
