walk in the countryside more

I don’t hear the word countryside in Alaska, I don’t what to call it, go walking outside the city more. I don’t know why we don’t call it the countryside.. hhmm..
We have the Coastal Trail in Anchorage, and even though it is in the heart of the city at some points, it seems like it’s in the wilderness cuz it’s right on the ocean, and you can see huge chunks of ice floating around…

With walking, you see so much more than when you are whizzing round in a car and you get exercise without noticing it (until tomorrow!). OK you may come across dead badgers on the way, but at least you have seen a badger! When the sun is out, it is great to have a picnic (a healthy one of course) and chat with a friend/loved one who is with you. It is also Free and more fun than being stuck in an gym. I would like to explore more local places.

Update. have asked my colleague if she wants to go for a walk
