2 weeks today and I shall be there. Really can’t wait, I NEED my holiday.
How to go to Edinburgh
How I did it: Hired hotel and flight through Kilroy travels.
Actually we went through almost whole of the UK in 10 days; London, Nottingham, Liverpool, Inverness and Edinburgh.
It was sooooo awesome! And didn't cost much either... around 1000€ for flights, hotels and transportation in the UK (bus and train) even less... I think I spent less than 1500€ on the whole trip, including food and clothes and souvenirs and books (!)
My check-in weight had doubled when I got back and I had mostly bought books (:
Resources: Check out Kilroy travels, they offer cheap vacations for students :D

In 26 days I shall be setting off to visit my friends up in Edinburgh. SO EXCITED !!!
for a few days, in September, this year. I really liked visiting the rock pubs, it had quite a few! I visited: Opium, Jekyll & Hyde, Bannermans, Black Rose Tavern and Whistlebinkies. Also went to the castle, but I thought it was a bit expensive for what it was. Went on a ghost walk, too. It was alright, but I’m not really into that either. Went to the zoo, that was cool, I like animals. Had a few meals out, too. It was pretty cool. The picture is me at Opium (I was dancing).
I never wanted to go to Scotland until I got a boyfriend that lived there. Now I really what to see what Edinburgh is like. I want to see what made him him I guess.
Edinburgh was fantastic :) Stayed in a gd hotel, visited the castle (getting there was really steep though!!) tour buses are worth doing, very funny. Shouted och noooo in the middle of the shopping area.. got some very strange looks and given the evils – :D On the way back got invited to some ‘on-board beer party’ on the back of the train.. free beer all round. (And who says Scots are tight with their money?!) Worth going.. :)
touchingmeltemi finding out what I have been missing all this time.
Go there, see it, party in, drink in, sleep there, enjoy, smile at EDINBURGH

My wife and I went to Edinburgh for our honeymoon, and had a grand time. If you plan to go during August, make sure you book ahead for hotels and major entertainment like the Tattoo at Edinburgh castle. (If you can’t make the Tattoo, don’t worry—there’s still lots of concerts, street performances, plays, and other activities, both Festival- and Fringe-related.) And as with all sojourns in the UK, bring an umbrella or rain gear. We were there ten days, and got only two days where it was sunny from start to finish.
