crookedletter is back after a bit of a hiatus.
and my goal is to put between $10 to $20 back a pay period. I would do more, but I’m paying off my small amount of credit card debt faster. Besides, between my two jobs, I get a paycheck every week, at least through the end of April.
My spousal unit has $3,000 saved up. But despite making a lot less money then him, I want to make sure I save up a bit of a nest egg for us as well. You might ask what is 3 months worth of basic expenses (I’m not including things like out to eat, movies or other treats). Well, let me tell you- it would be roughly about $3000 (this includes 3 months of mortgage payments, cell phone bills, internet, groceries, utilities), but to be safe, I’m going to round up to $4000. Now I ain’t going to get to my goal anytime soon, unless I get some huge grant or some such. But little bit by little bit I’m going to sock the money away.
