visit local wineries

I didn’t go to them all but I know enough about which ones I like and stuff.

This is probably a fall goal. Considering how busy I am between now and October, I won’t have time to go out to a winery anyway. But it works out well because Fall is harvest time isn’t it? Or something.

Well, the wine festival this weekend was fun, but unfortunately it only had most of the same Southern NM wineries there for tasting. The wineries were really good, and I got to try new varieties from some of my favorite vineyards, but I was hoping to discover more from the Northern area since they are more widely available in the area I currently live. I did get to try a few, and made plans to go to some wineries that are all about 60 miles away, so that will be helpful.

There’s a wine festival in a couple weeks that will feature only wineries from in-state. There I can sample a variety of wines from different places and see what I like. They don’t have EVERY selection available but it would give me an idea of which wineries are worth exploring further or even going out to visit individually.
