climb Mt Kinabalu

A bunch of us climbed in April 2009 up to km 7.5. Just a few meters away and we gave up.
Have booked for another trip next year. This time around, we WILL do it insyaAllah!

I love mountain climbing but I haven’t gone for a while since I got caught up with other things in my life. I want to climb Mt. Kinabalu (which is the highest mountain in Southeast Asia) because I know I can do it! I promise myself to do it end 2009 when I fly back to Asia!

I have done it in 2005, leading a team of 12 pupils and 3 other teachers. It was tough work training for it but the climb was well worth it!

I visited Sabah in February of 2005 and conquering this mountain was one of the tasks I set for myself. I made it to Laban Rata (the rest house just a couple of hundred metres from the summit) but when the morning came around and it was time to ascend the last little bit, i was overcome with nausea and dizziness.

I will do it though! I love Sabah and definitely intend to return and make it to the top.

I went with a team of students and teachers up to Mt K in Sept 2005. With the students, it was a tad more difficult as we had to wait for them to adjust to the climate and time was lost then. But it was a great experience to see them persevere through the climb. But I wanna do it again. This time, with loved ones.

Have ALWAY ALWAYS wanted to do this. But ever since my knee and feet problems cropped up, this has become a mission that I WANT to fulfil.
