finish my projects

I’ve taken on quite a lot of personal creative projects over the past couple of years, some of which don’t really deserve to be finished. I need to take stock and abandon the ones that are a waste of time, then organize the materials for the ones that aren’t so I can work on them easily as I have time.

Some examples of unfinished projects:

Make a Sunbrella cover for grill
Put up cork on the bottom half of the chalkboard
Turn old cupboard doors into garden art to hang on the fence
Make a copper trellis
Make an afghan from the many skeins of yarn using up my closet space
Make a quilt from scraps
Cover an ugly old quilt and turn into a duvet
Make a new tablecloth

• Those two bracelets that have been waiting in my ‘artsy box’ since June.

• The pile of comics that I haven’t touched since December. I draw Garfield =]

• The stacks of nat geo I’ve been meaning to read

• The journal I’ve been meaning to start

Compleated

• The brown necklace
  ^{The string I used for the necklace is too stiff, so I have to redo it with strong sewing thread. It’s like three feet long =[}
• The motivation board was removed, I’m just using it for silly things I cut out of magazines and papers I need to keep, but don’t care about.

All of my started projects are completed, and I have a list of potential future projects, but nothing is “undone” right now.
Goal completed =)

First, I need to organize my projects .

Tomorrow:
I’ll do some research on my costume project.

Side note: I’ve started knitting again, but more as something to do to relax with no other purpose. So it’s happening, but I’m not making it into a project again

I made it! And I finished “5 days” of filing in 19 hours. And while it wasn’t much, there is a tidy little pay check to go with it! =)

Looking at it as a project instead of a job helped big time.

Get through 5 days of awful office temping. I’m going to look at this like a project. Because work is icky, and projects are fun. I like to organize, so I’ll just look at all that filing as a chance to get paid (very little) for doing what I love anyway.
