So tonight I will be packing up the china that I never got to use and the beer stiens from Germany…. I figure we can do without them for two months… Lucky me I got about 10 boxes that are a foot by a foot just the right size to snuggley pack up brakeables. And tomorrow I move on to the extra linens. It all sounds productive yet…. I dont feel it. :( ~ Sam

Wait a secound…. I still have two months…. Why am I packing now?
Because the last oh…6 times I have moved I have waited until the VERY last minute and packed mostly in trash bags…. Not this time buddy not this time.
And today I took 2 steps I got a few boxes and I found a storage space.
GO ME!!
Packed everything in the storage container a few weeks ago. Waiting for the moving company to arrive and unload. Glad to check this off the list. I will probably be throwing things away once it get’s here. That works for me.
Tomorrow, Friday, is our last day to pack. We’re moving on Saturday morning and yeah… we haven’t done much. So, tomorrow we have to get our asses in gear. Any who, I’ve devised a checklist that I’ll make sure I did by tomorrow when I get back from my boyfriend’s house.
MY BEDROOM:
- computer and related objects put aside to be moved
- desk with ugly ass cloth over it put aside to be thrown out
- throw go through closet
- place anything that doesn’t belong in my room into proper room bins
- put all my clothes in a bag or basket or something
KITCHEN:
- make sure dad sorted everything on counter and boxed it
- make sure table is clean
- make sure dad threw out that disgusting table cloth
BATHROOM:
- pack everything from on top of the sink into the box
- place everything else in the bathroom into box
LIVINGROOM:
- put livingroom cables, dvds and etc. into a box
- put nicknacks and whatnot into the green tub
- make sure dad cleaned off his computer desk and packed it all up
LAUNDRY ROOM:
- make sure we got all the laundry finished and packed
- put laundry detergent and fabric softener into kitchen bins
New Approach
Before anyone can go anyplace they want, they have to pack 2 boxes and label them. It’s made a major difference. Now the only big project is V’s toolroom. I’m not touching that with a ten foot pole.
ryein hot town, summer in the city...
I’m moving in 3 days (yes, the day after Christmas) and I finally got the kitchen packed up. That means everything’s basically packed aside from a few odds and ends that probably won’t get boxed anyway. The bathroom stuff will be tossed in a box andthat means that’s about it! I started three months ago, using my time off during the October break to get the nonessentials boxed up. Since then I’ve been slowly working on closets and other things that I didn’t need anymore. If you know you’re moving, start soon and get what you can done!
It’s hard to pack for a family of four; when you don’t know where you’re going, or when you’re leaving. It’s hard to pack period. Something has got to give, and it’s not going to be me.
