I have always hoped that when I am 80 or so, I can look back on my life and be satisfied with the way I have lived it. I try not to plan too much and to just let things go the way they are meant to happen. I do make mistakes but I try not to regret because it worked for me when I was doing it so why worry? I am a very adventurous and spontaneous person and I can’t wait to build my life with fun, crazy experiences.

along these lines : ) 2 years ago

Something that I can only do now; while I’m young, in this body with this mind. Something that I can look back on and regardless of my state at that time (hoveround most likely)... I won’t be able to help but smile : ) That’s what I want.

I have some ideas of what I want to do, I just want someone to go with me that will appreciate these adventures as much as I will.

Last friday in Spain, the rest of my group had already flown out and I was the last American in the city. I was sitting at this cafe talking with another English speaker I had run into (she was Welsh) when I heard something from over my shoulder: “Hey!” I turned to see a Spanish girl addressing me.

    “Hello.”
    “Where are you from.”
    “The U.S.”

My British friend said that she would keep in touch and headed out the door. I decided to stay and chat. She’d been studying English for some time and was quite good with it. She had no idea that I spoke Spanish and until I spit some out.

Impressed, she and her friends invited me out clubbing.

Four drinks, two free addmissions, and a dance or two later I realized that this was the advanture that I had been waiting for.

    Spain had accepted me.
