I finally caved in and got another cell phone. It’s been years since I’ve had one.
It’s already came in handy several times. I haven’t given out my # to many people though. I HATE people calling me 24-7!!!!!!
How I did it: Manned up and got one last year (my last year at college). It is sooooo useful to be able to be in touch wherever you are. No hunting for the now non-existent payphones or having to constantly worry about figuring where to meetup when you split up from others when you're out and about.

and even thought it was 3 months together (I’m on my sister’s friends and family plan), it was still just what I expected. No regrets! In fact, I’ve been really enjoying the fancy phone I got (mp3 player, games, etc.).

‘cuz I caved and got the cell phone. So far, its been great. It came in handy the other weekend when I was horribly late to miss a bunch of friends. I got one that I can play music on and take pictures with, so that’s been great too.
I haven’t gotten the first bill yet, so maybe I’ll think differently when that happens. :-/
I only went halfway though… Got a cheap pre-paid tracfone. If I get annoyed with it, I’ll just throw it in the trash.
I have the forms, I’ve filled them out, I’ve chosen a server and a phone. Now I just have to fax and wait! I’m actually excited… hm…
I finally caved and got one. My car is getting older… who knows when I’ll need to call for assistance?
I consider it well worth it. (Even though it was nice not being gotten a hold of…)
Damn you electronic leash! Damn you to electronic junkyard hell! Hold on I got a call …
I am dumbfounded by the number of servers and which is best… Telus? Bell? Fido? Rogers? Virgin? I prefer no contract, probably a pay-and-talk type of plan. I am leaning towards Fido, but I am not sure.
Then, which phone? I keep getting mixed reviews. I am very concerned with good reception because some day I would like to get a monthly plan and get rid of my land line.
Any suggestions from fellow Canadians? Maybe I can get a consensus here…
