I’m a senior in college, and I got my first ferret (and first pet of my own) last year—best decision ever! I got her at 8mos and when she was 1 1/2 I adopted a brother for her who was 3 years old. They are each others’ best friends and they’re just the best pets for my boyfriend and me. They are like our children. Before I got my little girl I didn’t know anything about ferrets, as I had only had 2 cats and my beloved dog at home. I never knew how much I could fall in love with them. They are my lifesavers and the little lights of my life (the boy is sleeping on me as I type this :)). Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a little critter to love, especially in an apartment-type environment.

Let’s just say I “saved” him from a couple, and he was just a bag of bones. Now he’s a spunky little freak that steals my fuzzy slippers. He makes me laugh every day. :)

mom says they smell and won’t let me get one.. girlfriend says when we live together she’ll buy me one!! i’ve thoroughly documented this and shan’t forget it anytime soon! i may just buy one for myself when i move to tyler next semester. i play with them at the pet store “wet pets and critters” but i read somewhere there is a refuge for ferrets in louisiana from katrina families who couldn’t take them with them. i may get one of those if i can’t find a young one

theyr so cute thier lil faces :) i held one some guy had on a lead :0 it did bite my fingers but not painfully at all and this one didn’t smell. id love one and id train it to pretend to be a rat and scare people.

i read somewhere they play well with cats anyone know if it’s true?

I have one and he is so sweet, I love him, he brightens my day!
