ExtraHead is after redemption
Only do yoga if your doctor clears you for it and take in very easy and gently. A yoga class to learn the basics is favourite then you can do it daily at home.
I suggest this is done first thing in the morning during the summer months (northern hemisphere, temperate zone). This is because it warmer and lighter earlier in the morning so more difficult to sleep anyway.
I started my month last year when I left my old job – I had some time before I started my new job. I did it whilst I was doing my new job (for a while).
For variety you can do as I did – that is do different postures on different days. Or do different styles. Or even change the posture order. Always remember to do limbers first though and warm downs after. (If appropriate to the style.)
Even though I can no longer do a full session everyday (due to increased commitments) it was totally worth doing as it got my body conditioned into doing yoga and has given me a refreshing new perspective.
By the way, if you still can’t find the time for a full session – don’t beat yourself up over it. With yoga, a little done often is better than none at all!
