travel cross-country by myself

I have always wanted to travel cross-country by myself, and now my sister has decided to move from Brooklyn back home to Idaho and needs someone to drive her two fifteen-year old cats out because flying them in August would be hard on them. So I find myself agreeing to do this in the two weeks I have off before I begin teaching my classes for Fall semester. I am excited and sort of wondering what it might be like if the cats just really hate car travel. These are cats that have lived in a Soho walk-up for most of their lives. Will they need sedatives? Will I? Will they learn to enjoy car bingo? Well, I’m in the early planning stages so I’ll keep you all posted on how this goes.
