My friend talked about this band and I couldn’t remember have I listened it or not. Now I listened it a bit and it was that kind of music my friend likes a lot, but I am kinda tired of this kind of music (punk rock). So I don’t think I will listen this much in the future.
How to listen to 43 new bands
How I did it: I first started out using pandora.com, where you type in a band or artist that you like and it finds other artists or bands you might enjoy based on similar properties. When I bought some of the music that I found on that site on iTunes, the iTunes Genius feature would show me even MORE music that would enjoy. After that, i posted some of my new finds as my status on facebook and I discovered some other people who enjoy my kind of music (house, electronic, and rock) and they gave me recomendations. I feel like I now know of a whole new world of music that I didn't know existed.
Lessons & tips: Be patient. Sometimes you find anythig good for WEEKS.
Resources: pandora.com, the Genius feature on iTunes, and friends with good taste.

I saw them live last week having heard only short samples of their material beforehand. They played an energetic gig, which somehow remotely reminded me of the Exodus gig that I saw in Germany. The music was kind of old-school thrash metal, which is always nice but they could try to add more variation to the songs. Not bad, but lacks that little something which would make them stand out.
The latest album by Isis (Wavering Radiant) received very positive comments in a Finnish music magazine and I wanted to check it out months ago, but somehow I never got around to listening it. Until now, that is.
The music is progressive, atmospheric, melancholic, heavy and complicated. The songs are long and the album demands lots of attention, and I haven’t listened to it enough to form my final opinion. It sounds very promising, though, and the feelings I get from the music go very well together with these long, dark autumn evenings.
I went to gig with Antti. All the bands were new to me. The first one I didn’t like at all, the second and third were a bit better. But still, this that kind of metal I don’t much like. Without the vocals, it could have been good.

Cos this afternoon demanded a bit heavy metal. Spotify recommend this for me. They started from 80’s (yeah, I like a lot metal bands from 80’s). It’s fast. A bit melodic. And the singer doesn’t scream (at least not much) :D
Me likes.

Today our Spanish teacher introduced us three Spanish bands, two heavy metal bands and one pop band. I liked the rock bands so I think I will listen them now a bit more. The first impression were really good. Both of the bands were formed in 80’s.

French pop, or rap, or hip hop singer, or whatever. One of Isabelle’s favourite musicians. Not my kind of music at all, but we made the deal that on the way to Montreal, she would listen to my Muse if I listened to her Keen-V. So I got to listen to a lot of his music.
I felt like crying, sometimes.
