Right now I’m reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy and so far, it’s really good. It’s so good to sit down in bed an hour early and just relax with a great book. 2 years ago

PushkinIt's soooo nice

to not have to read textbooks anymore! 5 years ago

Yeah so I never did return that library book. I should probably get that back to them. I was at Barnes and Noble and I was really excited and I bought Utopia and Iliad. I never got to read stuff like that in school so I’m excited. 5 years ago

Freya_18School's out for ever!

School is officially done, and I am now reading books for pleasure to my heart’s content. :D 5 years ago

DiamondOfEmeraldNot enough time...

I honestly do not have time for reading. I’m not in school until this summer or this fall or something like that so for now I’m stuck just reading the occasional magazine until someone decides to extend each day by 10 hours. 6 years ago

DiamondOfEmeraldI actually started...

And I never do anything I try to do. My major is English/ Literature Education so I borrowed a brief history of English Literature from the library and I’ve actually been reading it and I’m actually enjoying it. 6 years ago

Freya_18This Xmas...

I read about 6 “fluffy” books, it was great!! In 3 days, school starts again, so back to reading legal briefs….. 6 years ago

DiamondOfEmeraldUntitled

I’m not really into novels and really anything fiction. I like things that are factual. I want to find something Christian-cenetered. For now, I’m working on “Secrets of The Dead Sea Scrolls” 6 years ago

hjohnson330Reading

I would love to read more…. and not just for school… i hate reading… but i want to like it….?!? 6 years ago

Freya_18well...

school has officially taken over my life. I haven’t read anything lately. I’m trying to read Mill on the Floss, but it’s not going very well with the massive amounts of assignments I have due. Hopefully I’ll be able to get tons of reading for pleasure done over Christmas. 6 years ago

Freya_18Alias Grace

by Margaret Atwood. I can’t put this book down, it’s so amazing!! 6 years ago

Freya_18*sigh*

this book won’t end, Dan Brown not the stellar authour that everyone says he is. After I finish this book (soon I hope) I won’t be reading any more books by him 6 years ago

Freya_18Giving Dan Brown another chance...

I’m reading “Angels and Demons”. I hope that it is better than Da Vinci Code. I’ll keep you posted. 6 years ago

cafegroundzeroLearning and reading are both pleasurable, so I have no problem with this one

This afternoon, just before my nap, I read Charlie Geer’s “Hard to Believe” which appears in Southern Review’s Summer 2006 issue. In this, he tells about working as a roustabout for the Franzen Brothers’ Circus.

I read also because I want to see what and why the journals and magazines publish what they do. I wrote a few pages in the last couple days. I’m worn out, got to catch up on my sleep tonight.

The lad is running back and forth along the hardwood floor, roaring like a wild beast and laughing. It’s fun to see him enjoying life. He’s a sweet fun lad. 6 years ago

Freya_18Finished

Valley of the Dolls last night. This was such an amazing novel, I recommend that everyone should read it!!!

Now I’m going to start reading “Larry’s Party” by Carol Shields. 6 years ago

Freya_18Valley of the Dolls

I just started this book today, a classic from the 60’s. I’m excited to read it. 6 years ago

Freya_18Trashy beach novel...

I’m reading a trashy beach novel right now, oh so silly, but so much fun to read! 6 years ago

Freya_18Silly novel

I’m reading a Catherine Cookson novel right now, I know not very thought provoking, but we all need a little fluffy novel in our lives every now and again. :-) 6 years ago

Freya_18Robber Bride

I’m reading Margaret Atwood’s Robber Bride right now I’m about 1/2 way through. I used to be scared of Atwood, her books seemed intimidating. However, I’ve read about 5 of them now, and with every book I read, I admire her that much more. 6 years ago

Freya_18Finished

I finished Da Vinci Code today. Not quite sure what all the crazy hype is about, I’ve read much better books. It was good, but not crazy great, he’s no Margaret Atwood or Jane Austen. :-)
But I guess it’s interesting to see 1 fictional book (or is it?? haha) cause such a stir in certain Christian circles. Maybe this will encourage people to be more passionate about their beliefs. If that’s the case, then this book has done far greater things than tell a good story. 7 years ago

Freya_18Da Vinci Code

I’m about 1/2 way through this book. So far I’m really enjoying it, and really can’t figure out why lots of people are freaking about it. It’s just a novel. Anyway I thought I should read it, since it came out today and everyone will talk about it even more. Have to stay in the loop a little bit. :-) 7 years ago

Freya_18An Adoration

I just finished reading An Adoration by Nancy Huston. It was a very interesting read. A little strange, not sure if I got all the themes or symbols….but still a good Canadian author. 7 years ago

Freya_18Finished!

I just finished Doctor Zhivago this afternoon. Wow, that was a heavy read, but well worth it. I admit to reading it while I was supposed to be studying, but I can’t study for 12 hours straight (yes, just keeping rationalizing the procrastination!) 7 years ago

Freya_18Half way

I’m half way through Doctor Zhivago. Next I think I’m going to read The Shipping News. I saw the movie this past weekend and loved it. 7 years ago

agarrahulNot asking for much

I loved reading fiction when growing up. These days its just tech facts for work. Just some little made up novels please. 7 years ago

Freya_18Grr!!

All I’ve been reading for the last 8 months are school books. Right now I’m reading how to make amendments to a corporation and how to file this in the minute book. Useful, but pretty boring.
So the last week I’ve been reading on the train when I go to school. I’m reading Docto Zhivago, and I’m 120 pages in.
I’m sick of law books, I want literature! Good thing summer is almost here!! 7 years ago
