Have guests over every month

We’ve been entertaining a lot with the new baby. This involved 16 people. We did a great job and everyone enjoyed themselves. Everyone was gone by 2 (everyone is at least 1-3 hours drive from us and needed to get home to get ready for school/work the next day) and Andrew and I took much needed naps. Best I’ve slept in a long time.

We had a party saturday for our friends to visit during dream cruise. We are only a block away from the first paved highway in the U.S. Every year, over a million people come to cruise thier classic cars up and down a 10 mile stretch of the road. It’s fun. We didn’t have as many people as we expected at our party, but those that came stayed about 6 hours! It was fun, a little too hot for me, but I was ok to sneak into the aircon for a while every hour or so.
New drink to discover at a later date: One can frozen lemonade concentrate. One can full of water, one can of beer, and one can full of vodka all mixed together. YUMMY. I can’t wait to try it! (the party was a potluck, and that was the hit of the party:)

Heather, Sean and kids came over for a cookout. We had a good time. Andrew had a blast with the kids.

if I don’t have someone over this month, I should just acknowledge that this is not something that I’m serious about perusing.

Ok..so they were my parents….but I still had to clean house!

I need friends, yes. And the only mild success of our holiday party makes that clearer. But this goal is not getting me there.

This is getting too easy…..

during/after dad’s surgery. They will be back on Saturday, then next tuesday and Wednesday. I told them last year that they might as well just buy a house over here:)

Set for tomorrow! We’ll see who shows up!
