I have recently fallen in love with Stevie and the magical stories she tells within her music; but have long been in-love with someone that has sang Stevie’s praise for over 25 years; she even dressed as her this past Halloween (see attached).
I became mezmorized with Stevie when she came through Atlanta, I bought 2 tickets…but swore that the next time she came through that I would find a way to buy front row.
Fleetwood Mac came through Atlanta in 2009; I spared no expense to purchase 2 on the front row. It was a dream come true, and truly breath taking.
We have since saved Stevie’s concert on our DVR and we dance around the house and do our best to hit the notes that Stevie’s finds effortless. “Stand Back” and “Sara” gets me everytime.
I would love to meet Stevie, but would give anything for my best friend to meet her. So much so that even at parties when we play the “who would you love to meet..” game, I always say Stevie Nicks…but in the back of my mind I know that I would give up my place so she could meet Stevie. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to meet her, but believe that true love is helping keep your loved ones dreams alive.
My best friend is my true love and soul mate; and I would do anything just to see her smile…and nothing makes her smile like Stevie Nicks. I can’t imagine her smile being any bigger, but I sure would like to try.
I never realized it until now that her dream is to meet Stevie and my dream is to make hers come true. Until that day, we will keep dancing and singing your praise.
