with belly fat.
I don’t know how it got there, but it needs to go.
I spend at least an hour walking everyday, but I might need to take up pilates again. And hitting the gym. Or yoga? Bellydancing? They have some cool classes here.
Eating…well…
Breakfast: Cereal and oatmeal
Lunch/Dinner: Salads, lean meats, wraps, sandwiches, etc.
Snacks: fruits, veggies, yogurt, etc.
Drinks: water, fat free milk

Ok, so I’ve had this goal for a while (4 months) and I still haven’t seriously considered it. I haven’t actually made an real effort.
But now that’s all about to change. I realized that I can be healthy in college if I choose to be. I may not be able to do much cardio work, but I can find something. And eating healthy is not soooo much of a challenge.
For instance, I’ve been eating healthier breakfasts. Let’s ditch the poptarts and donuts (after all, Dunkin Donuts never has fresh ones anyway). Lately I’ve been eating FiberOne bars, oatmeal, and similar things. Lunch has been pretty good too. I discovered an excellent salad bar on campus. Dinner…well…not so much. I might combine a lot of packaged snacks, or eat pizza or something. I would sometimes eat salad for that too, but there’s not much variety if you eat two salads a day. Last night I had veggie pizza, which is probably much better than the Wendy’s or turkey-bacon-cheese sub I was considering.
I walk 3-6 miles a day on campus, and I wanted to do pilates on top of that, but it just doesn’t fit into my schedule. There’s a gym right in my building, and I guess I could squeeze in some 30-minute workouts every few days.
How about I start today?? :)
Plus, I need to look good for when I go back home, spring break, and bikini season.

Not as good as I thought it would be. She’s fine – it’s just a waste of money.
I think her eating ideas are dumb.
I know what I need to do. I don’t need her – but I am going to finish out the next three sessions because I paid for them.
Besides, it’s more exercise than I was getting previously (none).
There’s nothing wrong with the idea I guess- it’s just too expensive.
I’m glad I tried it.
I really, really need to get into a regular exercise routine – and find work that I like.

Personal Trainer : Hired.
First session : tomorrow.
Damn – I’m going to miss House. Too bad. I’d rather get exercise and watch House a week delayed on the Internet.
Good for me taking care of myself!

I used to weigh 120 pounds.
This morning I weighed 174.
This is not good.
At first the weight snuck up on me. At first I said to myself, “You’re not that fat.” Well, now I am. My doctor actually told me to lose weight. Yikes! I used to think it was physically impossible for me to gain weight. I was wrong. I am fat now.
It sucks.
If you check the goals I’ve given up on, you’ll see that I’ve had a few false starts on my goal to lose weight. I’ve managed to gain weight the entire time. It sucks. I hate the way I look and feel. I think about it every day. I can’t wait to be thin again – but I know it will take time.
Until recently, I’ve been preoccupied with the goal of getting out of debt. I had a massive amount of debt and it is now retired.
Yeah me!
Now, I’m ready to move on to tackle this goal. Lose weight. I have other related goals (some listed here some not) like lowering my resting pulse, finishing a marathon, finishing a century, and things like that.
I’m giving myself one year to reach this goal.
That’s 365 days to lose 54 pounds.

I went to the doctor last week and I was five pounds less than usual.
Funny thing is, I lost that five pounds after a week…of being at college!
My eating habits are weird…I don’t eat as much or as often as I used to…and I walk 3 to 6 miles a day around campus.
I don’t know where any other scales are around campus, so I guess I’ll see next time I go to the doctor, on Tuesday.

how I’ve gained 15 pounds in a year.
I think it might be my allergy medicine.
I researched online and it says antihistamines can cause weight gain if taken frequently, and i definitely do that.
My eating and exercise habits have not changed. If not they’ve improved.
So I don’t get it!!! How frustrating!

This morning I really wanted a muffin for breakfast. On the way to the kitchen, I noticed the scale. I decided to use it. While I waited for the digital numbers to appear, I made a bet with myself that if I was under 130 for once, I would eat a healthy breakfast. It was 127.8, so I had an apple and cheesestick instead (we really need some groceries.)
Hopefully I’ll keep this up for lunch and dinner too. Haha
