but I didn’t feel like coffee. And the new library is super-awesome, but nothing could compare to the kind of awesome that I had made up in my head. SO, ultimately since the top floor wasn’t a full 360 degree glass pyramid as I’d imagined, and as I wasn’t staying there to read books but merely passing through, I didn’t feel so compelled to have my cup of coffee up there- though I could’ve, being that there was a coffee shop on the first floor. Go see it if you get a chance, but remember, no 360 pyramids.

next friday i will be there. but maybe instead of coffee, me and nosbev will opt for flasks of kentucky bourbon.
that’s gonna be so rad.
It’s on. I’m going to have a 16oz mocha with whip cream. Maybe I’ll pick up a couple of oversized photography books to peruse through while I sit up there. Library I love you you’re fresh.
I never go looking for books at the library. I look up the book on line and put it on hold. They send me an e-mail when it is ready to pick up.
If I get a 15 min parking spot that gives me time to run in, pick up my book from will call, check it out, take the escalator to the great room, then an elevator to the top of the stacks, left turn around to the cat walk over the open shaft and look down thru the stacks to the great room far below. What a rush ‘cause I am a little freaked by heights. Truly impressed by the fantastic space I get out of the library and back to my car.
I don’t linger much at the library because of all the walking wounded who hang out there. I am pleased that its a nice space for crazy people to socialize with thier other personalities.
Even though I am trying to stop drinking coffee, I think this is a great goal and will make an exception. I’d also like to be wearing vintage Dior while achiveing this goal. Visiting in July this year, so step one compelte. Now, need to find some vintage Dior …
