I am well on my way to this goal. Every semester I come home and I have more and more books, so that all my shelves are filled and my desk is becoming overrun. My main problem is that I don’t have a room for the books to fill. I am constantly moving from one state to another. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not getting rid of my books… I LOVE them, but all the same… they do take up a lot of space, haha :D
mrsafrommaine loves to camp!
book-aholic as if that was a bad thing. I don’t get it… how could one ever have too many books?
Just like in Beauty and the Beast! Okay, well. Maybe not that fancy. But God, this would be so cool!
lovelifeandcoffee loves the BABEL soundtrack!!!
I’m swarming in books. My bedroom is very small, so between my bed and the stacks of books, there isn’t much space.
kmom2468 is knee deep in the hooah!
Ok, I’ve got a few room fulls and the major part of a storage room and some overflow into the kitchen. Now all I need are floor to ceiling book cases to accomodate them all! (Back, back I say – I am not parting with a single one!)
For my 21st birthday I am receiving a beautiful white bookcase.
I wanted my own bookcase so that all my books that are in the many boxes and storage around the house can once again come back to my bedroom where they belong. I am also completing the collection of an out-of-print book series that I have spent years tracking down. The last book should arrive in a few days; I found it on ebay.
While this particular room will never be full of books, getting the bookcase will certainly help me proudly display my collection in a neat and orderly way.
I bought several (a dozen) books at a rather large book fair recently – and have nowhere to put them. I made a deal with my parents to get a bookshelf for my birthday, because I don’t like all my books out in the shed in the cold and damp. It’s a start, but I reckon by the time I get my own place I’ll be able to fill at least one wall.
Maybe a very small wall.
My room full of books will be my study and house my DVD collection, too. I will put large framed posters on the wall of people who are empowering/inspirational/influencial, like Ghandi or Martin Luther King Jr or Xena: Warrior Princess. I already bought my first poster: It’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I’m on the look out for more. My room of books will look cool.
