Have a 43p meetup in Chicago in November 07

I’d been helping out 43ers on their goals to get postcards from every state, and knew I wanted to send some postcards from Chicago while there. Then it struck me that we should send 43 postcards from the 43 Things Chicago meet with everyone at the meet signing the postcards. So I compiled a list of 43 addresses to send a postcard to (which turned out to be 51 total 43ers since some people have the same address). Then those of us that were at this meetup spent some time passing the postcards around the table signing them. The best part was that after they were all signed, some people wondered who they were for because they’d never looked at what they were signing. I guess I should’ve sent around loan papers or something instead.

I did get to Miller’s Pub on Saturday for a helluvaburger. It was really good. No picture though. Sorry Bill. =(

What a great weekend! The city was fun, food and drinks were plentiful and the company was awesome. Great to see you guys!

I think I need a vacation from my Chicago vacation…

You’d have to be a professional editor to tighten that phrase up.

These bangers were pretty tasty. Must have come from Wisconsin.

Oh: lessons learned: bring a sharpie to a 43T meetup.

I think was such a perfect spot. I can recommend the chicken quesadillas! The banger’s and mashed lookes pretty good too.

I would like to thank everyone for coming yesterday. It was so great to meet and chat with you all. I would like to thank DoubleN for the flirtini! It was great to meet up with Todd for a second and thanks for lunch.

The 43T Chicago meetup was so GREAT! I echo everyone else’s thanks to Shari for organizing the meetup and to Todd for treating us all. What a great group of people!

I had a good time in the city at the 43T meetup. I was delighted to meet several other 43T’ers. Todd bought lunch—thanks Todd! Segsy organized it, despite living half a continent away—thanks Segsy! Thanks for everyone who showed up. It was fun.

I’d tell you what happened, but Bill made everyone pinky swear that what happened there stayed there. So, no telling.

After lunch, Lisa G, Todd and myself walked through Millennium Park. After I rode out to the end of the Brown line with Lisa. She showed me some cool stuff and a great place in Lincoln Square to buy rum balls for my wife. Extra thanks for that.

I hope something fun like this happens again.
