April will turn fifteen in December. 8D
I’ve recently had three Lucid dreams. :D In the first one, I discovered I was dreaming because I thought I was going to die from a wound that appeared on my arm. Then a woman in my dream said, “Why do you care? You’re dreaming.” O.O! I’ve come a looooong way. Dream-people used to tell me that I wasn’t dreaming and I’d believe them. >.>
In the second and third ones, I’d simply be walking or something and come to the realization that I’m dreaming. However, due to a lack of control in the first LD, I didn’t try anything (such as flying, making someone/something appear, etc). I got tired of the disappointment. >=/
I know to “Lucid Dream” means to realize you’re dreaming while in a dream, but I’m not going to deem this goal as accomplished until I’ve achieved some control in my LDs. D;<

I dont know how I do it, so all I can say is that I can do what ever I want in my dreams. I can fly, I can jump off things, I have sex, I can go where I want. It is amazing. And then there are the times that I am actually out of bed and doing things that are in my dream, like getting dressed or looking for things. And most of the dreams I have are lucid. Sometimes it can be tiring, constantly traveling in your sleep.

It’s common advice to tell people who want to lucid dream or have better dream recall to watch movies or read books / online tutorials about it. It not really the information that helps, but just being in the frame of mind where you’re thinking about having amazing dreams that does it.
Well I wanted to report that watching Walking Life before I go to sleep is a very effective way for me to stimulate my own dreams. I consistently have more vivid dreams that are easier to recall in the morning for my dream journal when I watch this movie.
I recommend this to anyone trying to improve dream recall or get full-on lucid dreams.

I think I’ve already done this, but I would like to actively try and see what happens.

at camp during rest hour, i fell asleep. right away, i realized that hey! i’m dreaming, i just fell asleep. i thought, ‘oh oh oh this means i can change my dream. yesss, lucid dreaming yahoo!’ but then as i tried to take flight, i felt myself losing it, waking up. it was so strange. i tried to hold on to the dream, but it slowly faded to the point where i woke up SO disappointed.
sortofkinda, not quite.
i WILL fly next time!

Fuzzy dreams

Well, last night I woke up in the middle of the night right after a dream, and I remembered it perfectly, but barely remember anything this morning. Looks like someone has to work on her dream recall…

Dream Recall
Well, the first step is supposed to be good dream recall (several dreams a night). I usually remember my dreams every other night, but when I remember them I remember every little detail. Hopefully this is a good thing. I’m going to keep trying to remember my dreams.
One thing I wont do is to wake myself up in the middle of the night to remember. I get bad enough sleep during the school year as it is, and I have trouble getting back to sleep. I hope I can achieve this!

I first learned of lucid dreaming about a year ago, and have been trying to pursue it since then. I’ve had some luck, (about 8-12 lucid dreams of limited length) but would love to bring that up.
My first step is going to establish a better sleep cycle, as my irregular hours are really taking a toll on my dreaming in general. From then I’ll try to get back in the habit of reality checks, since they have worked well for me in the past.
Wish me luck! :D
