After mom passed away dad had a hard time. I am amazed by his determination to live his life as mom wanted, not to fall into depressions … I know how much he misses her. Though he is still working part time and he has his friends, colleagues and gardening hobby, I believe that dad needs some really thrilling new thing to cheer him up. Dad is still driving his 25 years old Lada, Russian car, which, according to the 21 century standards is not a car anymore. He is not bothered at all, but I am afraid tht this vehicle is not safe enough for him. So, after epic battles in Skoda auto we are on the way to buy a car. Yep, Skoda seller in my hometown is very weird – they do not want you to buy a car. The saleswoman was basically yelling at me for asking for a test drive.
Dad was strongly against the buy at first. He thinks its too much money and he is not comfortable that I and my sister will pay for it. But now, after lots of talking and actually testing the car he is thrilled as a child. I told him that this car can be used by all of us when we go to visit him.
