I will be attending the usual, that being the Renaissance Festival and Earthdance.
But I wanted to attend at least 5 festivals this summer, so we’ll see if I can find three fun ones to go to in August.
wish me luck
I printed off a summer Festival Schedule for suburbs around the area. This 4 page list doesnt even include Mpls or St.P; add those in, add in the State Fair and Renaissance Festival (both are which are among the largest of their kinds in the country) and Earthdance and this state has summer festivals coming out of it’s ass.
This is quite awesome, imo, especially since most are free entry. I hope to attend several this summer and – though I’ll likely be flying solo – have a great time at every one!
It’s a free music festival in the local park and is next week. So can’t wait to go to my second music festival this year!
Recently went for the day to this local music festival and absolutely loved it. I went with my husband and kids and met some friends there who were camping for 2 days. Wish our friends had been more appreciative of us being there though; they didn’t invite us to their tent or cook or offer anything to us while we were there. They were good with our kids though. Basically we went to spend some time with them, and live the festival experience with them, but really didn’t feel like they wanted us there.
However we still enjoyed it and are planning to go camping there next year for the weekend, whether or not our friends are there!
music and happy people are key for my own happiness. festivals are always sharing loving environments for people to be as free as they desire and a place for anyone to share at least a piece themselves with friends familys and complete strangers alike. whoo doesnt need more music and more festivals in their life?
2 weeks ago i went to an awesome festie called bears picnic, in milton pa. It was great. I ran into people i haven’t seen in almost 10 years!!!
my friends and i are trying to plan a trip to the gathering of the vibes in august. That is a dank festie!!
Before i had kids, my life revolved around traveling, festivals, and concerts. I feel like i’ve lost touch with who i am because i haven’t been doing those things. There is no reason not to. they can go too! So from now on when there is something going on i’m going to pack up my gorgeous babies and all my gear and we’re heading out.
Everyone look out, the old Leah is back!
Around April through June there’s a monthly street fair downtown. I went for the first time in May, and again to the last one of the season last month. Pretty good time to be had--it’s amusing to be having a party in the middle of what’s usually one of the busiest streets downtown. :-) (I’m finding things like this more enjoyable than the sporting events I was trying to keep entertained with last year. I just need to find a few more to go to.)
Ok so far i’ve been to Pinkpop which was awesome, i saw a lot of great bands and had an amazing time! Right now i’m thinking about going to Lowlands, but i’m not sure if i should go 1,2 or 3 days…
dreamcatcher is being quiet.
I didn’t make it to Gourmet Week in the end but that was because I’d just eaten in a restaurant the week before and I didn’t want to overdo it.
However, suddenly it seems like lots of festivals are happening in Tel Aviv. Must be because it’s summer and night festivals are fun because you can be out on the streets all night and never get cold!
Last week we went to Night Flea, the flea market festival that’s happening every Thursday night in June. It was really fun! All the usual flea market stalls were open but there were also exhibitions of lots of original handmade crafts and artwork, street performers, food, an outisde bar with DJs and live bands.
This Thursday it’s me and my bf’s six year anniversary so we’re going to go out to dinner in a restaurant and afterwards we’ll check out the music festival that’s happening in the streets all over the city in honour of the summer solstice. I’m excited!
