I need to go shopping again. 3 years ago

Everything is inter-related. I have about a week’s worth of decent outfits. You know what that means… The co-workers get to see each and every one of them every week.

But the budget is making it hard to expand the wardrobe much more right now. Sale racks take time and I don’t have a whole lot of that these days. But that’s my only option. I hope a better salary comes with the degree….

Getting there 3 years ago

Most of the week last week, I looked pretty good. I bought 2 new skirts and wore one last week. I got lots of compliments and my shoes were cute but they wore a blister on my heal. Now that’s attractive….

I have noticed this past week and in the past that people treat you better when you dress better. It sucks that looks count but it’s a cold hard fact.

I'm trying 3 years ago

I love watching that show on Cable TV called “What Not to Wear”. I’m making so many mistakes and they are giving me great ideas about the right things to do.

The latest tidbit that’s stuck with me is this: Don’t buy things just because they are on sale. You should buy full outfits or know exactly what outfit this new article of clothing will be part of. When looking at an outfit, ask yourself 3 questions: 1)Does it fit? 2)Do you love it? 3)Does it represent you?

It is a big self esteem boost to love your clothing. You look forward to getting dressed again. After my 3rd child was born, I lived in sweats and maternity pants. I just got back down to a womens/juniors 9/10 and I feel like my options have all opened up again. I haven’t gotten back to wearing skirts again but by summer I want to. :)

I'm Proud of Myself 3 years ago

I’m getting better in this department. I shop more frequently in times past, and I don’t feel so anxious about it anymore. I know my children are taken care of and my household isn’t lacking, so I don’t feel guilty about shopping for myself. I’m really starting to enjoy it, LOL!

1st Step 3 years ago

A few weeks ago, I actually went into a store and tried on 2 pair of pants and 1 skirt. I….MochaMom purchased 1 pair of pants and a jean skirt!!! That might not seem like nothing major to anyone else, but it’s a big accomplishment for me. Because I’m always buying for my children that I neglect to get the basic things for myself. Usually I feel guilty, but not this time, it actually felt good. Who knows, I may go and purchase something else for myself before 2005 is over. ;-)

I Wear the Same Thing EVERY Week! 4 years ago

I rarely purchase clothes for myself, to this date I have only 4 pair of pants, 2 casual dresses, several dresses, lots of tees, 1 dress shirt, 5 pairs of shorts and 2 pairs of capris. I always buy clothes for my children but not for myself. I really need to start buying more things for myself. Maybe I can take teenie tiny strps and get one outfit every other month or something.

want a fun style of clothes to wear 4 years ago

that is funky – but not with my belly hanging out! I’m such a mix of things that it’s hard to pinpoint what I like to wear. The key of course if having enough cash to buy it all. I want to develop a shoe habbit.
