knit a Dr. Who scarf

to actually weave those tails in?

some of the colors are visible here… not picking up the bright purples or the 3 different greens, really….

on the elliptical and hanging out with Nate yesterday. I guess I need to figure out how to make it flat… anyone know?

and while I’m sure there are a million purists out there whose most charitable response is a scoff, I love it! I just don’t have the particular brand of patience it takes to do it the normal way. I have a bunch of projects I’ve begun that way, and they all stall—I walk away bored.

But this thing is fun! I started a figure-it-out scarf 2 days ago, and here’s the first few minutes’ worth….

I’ve only been working on it for over half a year. Though I did slack way off during the summer. Too hot for what felt like an afgahn in my lap.
Now I’m back on it! Hopefully it won’t take me two years to complete!

I’ve started like 50, and crapped out on every one. I WILL finish and wear this one! Maybe even loan it to my beau occasionally. Maybe.

She used bold colors. It’s rather pretty update of the original version. That said, she used 4 ply and doubled it over… so it’s TWICE as thick as it should be. The original patter used rarer 2 ply yarn I was told and was doubled over.
